Ernie Tucker

Ernest Tucker serves as Webpage and A/V Coordinator for the International Club of Annapolis. A 1987-88 Fulbright Scholar and a 2005-2006 Fulbright Senior Scholar in Istanbul, Turkey, he has been a professor in the History Department at the U.S. Naval Academy since 1990. Holding a PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago, Professor Tucker specializes in Middle Eastern and Central Asian history. His published works include studies on Imam Shamil and Nadir Shah, along with contributions to encyclopedias, dictionaries, and journals such as Middle East Journal and Iranian Studies.
