On Wednesday, 9 September, we will begin our new program year and hear a fresh diplomatic perspective from Wendall K. Jones, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas in the United States.

Ambassador Wendall K. Jones has been a media leader in the Bahamas for decades: one of the most successful journalists and media owners of his generation there. He began his professional path as a journalist with the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas in 1972. His career then took him to numerous other media venues and educational opportunities in the United States and elsewhere. 

Wendall Jones is chairman of Jones Communications International Limited, comprised of Radio Love 97 FM; the Bahama Journal, Jones Publications, and JCN Television. He has produced numerous widely-circulated books and hosted two of the Bahamas’s most popular current affairs radio and television programs.  For his achievements, he has received numerous awards and been awarded honorary degrees both at home and abroad.

Mr. Jones was appointed Ambassador to the United States of America and nonresident Ambassador to Colombia and Malaysia by Philip Davis, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, on February 17, 2022.  His leisure pursuits include reading, painting, and playing the piano.
