On Wednesday, 3 June, we will have a very brief Annual Meeting to introduce the slate of officers for the 2026-28
program year and hear from Mohammed Soliman on ““America and the Asian Future of the Middle
East”
On Wednesday, 3 June, we will celebrate the end of our program year with free wine
and a very brief Annual Meeting to introduce the slate of officers for the 2026-28
program year. The Slate of Officers is attached and the Annual Report will be on your
tables.
We will also hear a fresh perspective on “America and the Asian Future of the Middle
East” from Mohammed Soliman, an author and moderate advocate with a global
advisory firm. He advises investors and companies on strategic and policy issues at the
intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, finance, and energy.
Mohammed Soliman is a director at McLarty Associates, a global advisory firm. He is
the author of West Asia: A New American Grand Strategy in the Middle East (Polity
Press, 2026). In addition, he is a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, a non-
resident senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and a visiting fellow with
the National Security program at Third Way.
Soliman serves on the board of advisors for Ideas Beyond Borders and the
advisory council of the Indian Society of Artificial Intelligence and Law. He is a member
of the Expert Advisory Group of the Global Commission on Responsible Artificial
Intelligence in the Military Domain. He holds a Master of Science in Foreign Service with
distinction from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Egyptian
Aviation Academy.
