Our speaker was Irving Jaime Lizaranga, Charge d’Affaires ad interim at the Peruvian Embassy. His area of specialization mainly covers bilateral relationships with countries in the Western Hemisphere and regional integration organizations, having gained experience when he served as Deputy Director of the Pacific Alliance and later as Director of Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lima Peru.
In July 2022 he was appointed as an official diplomatic official, representing Peru in countries such as Mexico (2013-2018) and Chile (2004-2009).
He studied Law at the University of Lima (2000) and has a master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Diplomatic Academy of Peru (2002) and a master’s degree in Political Science from the Catholic University of Chile (2009) and holds diplomas in Integration Processes and in Global Order and New Regional Trends.
He is married to Carolina Cerreño and has two daughters: Emilia and Antonia.
