On Wednesday 3 January we had the privilege of hearing from one of the most qualified and interesting members of our community: Ford Rowan. He is a journalist, lawyer, consultant and educator with roots in Annapolis and around the world. His topic will be “No Place to Hide: Gaza and the Rising Tide of Refugees Worldwide.”
Ford Rowan is a founding member of the International Dialogue Initiative which seeks to understand the psychological barriers to peacemaking and encourage dialogue between nations and ethnic groups.He is the chairman of the National Center for Critical Incident Analysis which was founded after 9/11 at the National Defense University. Rowan is an attorney, a licensed lay preacher in the Episcopal Church, and has taught conflict resolution at George Washington University. He has served as co-chair of the refugee committee at St. Anne’s church.
