On Wednesday 4 December, we will learn about the Republic of Georgia and the contest between those who want to join the EU and NATO and those others who want to revert to the Russian sphere. We will be guided by Luis Navarro, a Non-Resident Fellow in the Foreign Policy Research Institute’s Eurasia Program. Dr. Navarro served as Senior Resident Director for the National Democratic Institute in Georgia from 2009 – 2014 and as both presidential campaign manager and the last Chief of Staff for then-Senator Joe Biden (2007-2009). He is in a good position to give us the inside story of Georgia as a “swing state.”
